SEA OF PLASTIC

Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter our oceans, and it is one of the many environmental challenges of today. Plastic pollution critically impacts hundreds of marine species and its toxic pollutants damage the ocean's ecosystem.

My painting, Sea of Plastic, is a call for action. It represents the dying coral reef within a sea of spiraling plastic. The corals have been painted using a dye that (with time) will lose color, the way coral reefs do when decaying from pollution.

This painting will be auctioned in a near future and the proceedings will go to THE OCEAN CLEANUP, an organization dedicated to developing breakthrough technologies to rid our oceans of plastic waste.
